In the glamorous corridors of Bollywood, relationships and mentorship often script the true journey behind the screen. Actor Abhishek Bachchan recently opened up about his deep bond with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, revealing how the 'Pathaan' actor has continuously guided him throughout his career. With both actors set to share screen space in the upcoming high-octane action thriller 'King', Abhishek's heartfelt revelations have struck a chord with fans and industry insiders alike.
SRK As an Older Brother and Mentor
In an interview with BBC Asian Network, Abhishek reminisced about the days when they used to play cricket on Sundays at filmmaker Aditya Chopra's house. Alongside Uday Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, and Sikandar Kher, Shah Rukh Khan was a constant presence during those gatherings. Abhishek fondly remembered SRK as the 'older brother' of their social circle. Acknowledging Shah Rukh's immense contribution to his professional journey, Abhishek stated that the superstar has taken personal responsibility for him on multiple occasions, including the upcoming project 'King'.
The Philosophy That Shaped Abhishek's Career
Junior Bachchan recalled a conversation he had with Shah Rukh even before making his official entry into the film industry. When Abhishek asked SRK to name his favorite movie, Shah Rukh's response was profound: 'My favorite movie is the one I am working on right now. Because if it isn't my favorite movie, why am I doing it? Whatever has happened is in the past; I don't dwell on it. Right now, 'King' is my favorite movie.' This simple yet powerful philosophy deeply resonated with Abhishek, continuing to influence his working style and professional approach to this day.
