South cinema superstar Allu Arjun and acclaimed director Atlee's much-anticipated sci-fi film 'Raaka' has achieved a historic milestone on the global cinematic stage. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has officially entered the Guinness World Records for 'Most People Motion-Captured in Real-Time', marking a massive technological leap for Indian cinema.
During the production phase, a record-breaking 37 performers were captured simultaneously in a single session. A senior adjudicator from Guinness World Records officially presented the certificate to lead actor Allu Arjun and director Atlee amidst the core cast and crew.
Overcoming Technical Challenges
During the shoot, 37 artists ranging from a four-year-old child to a 70-year-old senior citizen were motion-captured simultaneously in a single capture volume. The primary technical challenge was tracking each artist's movement data concurrently without signal loss or spatial distortion. The VFX team deployed a sophisticated setup featuring 92 optical motion-capture cameras, Unreal Engine for real-time visualization, and advanced facial tracking technology.
