Reality show star and actress Divya Agarwal is grabbing headlines once again, not for a reality show, but for her upcoming provocative web series titled 'Halala'. The official promo has dropped, creating an immediate stir across social media platforms. The series attempts to shed light on a deeply sensitive and rarely discussed issue concerning women's rights and religious practices.
Turning producer for this project, Divya has taken on a significant challenge. Produced under the joint venture of Rocket Reels and Cliffhanger, the series features Divya alongside Ankit Bhatia and Akshay Dogra in pivotal roles. Directed by Amit Khanna, the show promises a compelling narrative. Sharing the promo on Instagram, Divya wrote, 'Love, rituals, and a woman's choice caught in between. Halala - a story that will raise questions and keep you hooked.'

The promo opens with Zoya (Divya Agarwal) getting married to a cleric's son. Initially, things seem peaceful, but tensions begin to mount as days pass. During a heated argument, her husband pronounces triple talaq in a fit of rage. However, filled with immediate regret the next day, he seeks a way out through the controversial practice of 'Halala'.
This is where the major twist unfolds, hinting at how the practice is allegedly manipulated, raising serious questions about women's dignity and consent. How Zoya stands up against these orthodox norms and fights for her rights forms the core of the gripping plot.
