A magnificent palace in the UAE, long dubbed a 'haunted mansion' by locals, is now up for sale for millions of dollars. The 35-bedroom property remained vacant for nearly three decades, giving rise to numerous eerie legends about strange noises and flickering lights. Now, this mysterious estate is ready for a new owner with a staggering price tag.
According to reports, the Al Qasimi Palace in Ras Al Khaimah is being sold for 22.5 million dirhams (approximately Rs 52 crore) unfurnished, or 23.5 million dirhams (around Rs 54 crore) if the buyer wants to keep the antique collections and artwork inside. Real estate firms handling the property report strong international interest, including from buyers in Britain and India.
A Massive Estate Built in 1985
Built in 1985, the palace spans a massive 191,742-square-foot plot with a built-up area of about 33,827 square feet. Artisans from Iran, Morocco, India, and China contributed to its elaborate architecture. Despite its grandeur, the original owner never lived in it due to family disagreements over certain artistic statues, leading to decades of abandonment and local ghost stories.
