High-Level Meeting at Police Headquarters Ahead of Amit Shah's Visit
Preparations are in full swing across administrative circles in Madhya Pradesh ahead of the anticipated visit by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. State Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana recently chaired a high-level review meeting at the police headquarters in Bhopal, bringing together top-tier security officials to fine-tune arrangements for the high-profile tour.
During the comprehensive session, the top brass evaluated the state's law and order situation, counter-terrorism measures, cyber security protocols, and overall police modernization efforts. Senior officials presented status reports on their respective domains, ensuring that all logistical and security aspects are seamlessly coordinated to showcase the advanced capabilities of the state police force.
Five-Day Exhibition on New Criminal Laws to Begin on October 3
A major highlight of the visit will be a special five-day exhibition starting October 3, showcasing the implementation of the newly enacted criminal laws and the transformation of the country's judicial process. Special DGP Pankaj Srivastava briefed the committee on the layout of the exhibition, noting that it will creatively illustrate the entire justice delivery chain—from the registration of an offense to the final verdict.
Open to the general public, the exhibition will utilize digital screens, interactive stalls, informational videos, and models to educate citizens about the integration of forensic sciences, prosecution services, and modern police technology. The initiative aims to demystify the legal reforms and demonstrate how transparency and speed have been enhanced in delivering justice.
Focus on Cyber Security and Public Awareness Campaigns
Addressing the growing menace of digital fraud, the review meeting placed special emphasis on cyber defense mechanisms. Officials reported significant milestones achieved through the 'Safe Click' awareness campaign, which has successfully reached approximately 8.6 million citizens. Other technological interventions, including the 1930 cyber helpline and e-Zero FIR systems, were also thoroughly examined.
DGP Makwana stressed the importance of leveraging modern technology to bridge the gap between law enforcement and citizens, fostering greater public participation in crime prevention. Campaigns addressing substance abuse and anti-naxal operations were similarly reviewed to ensure holistic security enforcement across the state.
Boosting Rural Economy Through Cooperatives and Dairy Farming
Alongside security reviews, the visit is expected to spotlight cooperative initiatives and rural empowerment. Reports indicate that a massive convention of livestock farmers may be organized at the BHEL Dussehra Ground in Bhopal, drawing cooperative ministers from multiple states. The Madhya Pradesh government has designated the current year as 'Farmer Welfare Year', focusing heavily on agriculture, animal husbandry, and dairy development.

Concurrently, the deployment of 57 mobile forensic vans across the state was reviewed to ensure timely collection and analysis of scientific evidence, ultimately strengthening prosecution cases in courts.
