Magadh Range IG Inspects Law and Order in Aurangabad
In a major administrative push to reinforce security and tighten the grip on criminal activities, Magadh Range Inspector General of Police Vikas Vaibhav visited Aurangabad district. The high-level visit focused on evaluating the current law and order scenario and strategizing effective crime control measures across the region. Upon his arrival at the collectorate premises, the IG was accorded a ceremonial guard of honor by local police units.
Following the ceremonial welcome, a comprehensive review meeting was convened at the Superintendent of Police's conference hall. Key officials, including Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Deputy Superintendents of Police, circle inspectors, and other district police personnel, attended the brainstorming session. The discussions centered heavily on evaluating ongoing investigative procedures, enhancing police responsiveness, and ensuring public safety.
Strict Directives on Pending Cases and Patrolling
A major focal point of the review meeting was the expedited disposal of long-pending criminal cases. IG Vikas Vaibhav scrutinized case files from various police stations and sought explanations regarding investigative delays. He issued strict orders to accelerate the execution of pending warrants, proclamations, and attachment procedures against proclaimed offenders.
Furthermore, the effectiveness of police patrolling across urban and rural jurisdictions came under detailed scrutiny. Officials were instructed to step up night patrols, increase visibility in sensitive zones, and maintain robust communication networks with local communities to gather actionable intelligence.

Preparedness at Sanda Border for Upcoming VIP Movements
Transitioning from indoor administrative reviews to ground verification, the IG visited the Sanda border area located near the Bihar-Jharkhand frontier in Kutumba block. The site visit aimed to assess security readiness and logistical planning for upcoming high-profile political events and mass movements.
Preparations are currently underway for the upcoming 'Sewa Sankalp Yatra,' which is scheduled to enter Bihar from Jharkhand's Palamu district with a large convoy of supporters. Given the expected presence of VIP dignitaries and a massive influx of participants, local authorities have been directed to formulate foolproof security and traffic management plans.
Intensified Surveillance at Erka Checkpost to Curb Smuggling
As part of border security enforcement, the IG conducted a surprise inspection of the Erka checkpost. Given its strategic location on the inter-state border, the checkpost serves as a critical barrier against illicit activities, particularly the smuggling of contraband and illegal liquor into Bihar.
Interacting directly with police and excise personnel stationed at the checkpoint, the IG emphasized the necessity of round-the-clock vehicle inspections without exemptions. Stringent monitoring protocols are being enforced to deter criminal elements attempting to exploit inter-state transit routes.
