The incident took place at a dhaba located within the Rataul police outpost jurisdiction under the Khekra police station area in Baghpat. After the video surfaced online, the social media cell of Baghpat Police along with Khekra police station took immediate cognizance of the matter.
Police teams verified the authenticity of the footage and identified the accused as Mehtab, son of Sirajuddin, a resident of Rataul town. Baghpat Police officially confirmed the arrest through their social media handles, stating that a case has been registered and appropriate legal proceedings are currently underway.
