Upon arrival, the acquaintance handed her over to another individual identified as Rohit Kumar, a resident of Damodarpur village under the Bachhwara or Bhagwanpur police station area. The primary accused then forcefully dragged the young woman into a hotel room and locked it from the inside.

Video clips that subsequently went viral show the woman being mercilessly struck with slippers, slaps, and kicks.
