Daring Burglary Shakes Delhi: Thieves Target Residential House at Night
In a brazen act that has raised serious security concerns, unknown thieves targeted a residential house in South Delhi's Sangam Vihar area on Sunday night. Taking advantage of the darkness and late hours, the miscreants broke into the house situated in the Shani Bazar Road locality. According to initial reports, the intruders made away with a significant amount of cash and precious jewelry, leaving the homeowners in deep distress and creating panic among local residents.
The incident came to light early in the morning when the family woke up and discovered the ransacked rooms. Cupboards were left wide open and valuables were missing. Immediately, a police control room (PCR) call was made, prompting prompt action from the local law enforcement agencies. A team from the Neb Sarai police station rushed to the scene to assess the situation and initiate a preliminary inquiry into the crime.
FSL and Crime Branch Step In, Fingerprints Collected from the Scene
Recognizing the gravity of the burglary, Delhi Police deployed specialized forensic teams to the location. Experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) meticulously examined the entire premises to lift crucial physical evidence. The intruders had touched various surfaces while searching for valuables, leaving behind vital fingerprints. The forensic experts successfully gathered these prints, which are currently being analyzed against police databases to identify the culprits.
Investigators from the crime branch are also assisting local police in piecing together the sequence of events. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed in the vicinity are being thoroughly scanned to trace the entry and escape routes used by the suspects. Preliminary footage review has highlighted some suspicious movements, which are currently under detailed scrutiny.
