The Freelance, New Delhi: The name echoing the loudest in Indian cinemas right now is 'Drishyam 3'. The third installment of Ajay Devgn's suspense-thriller franchise has completely upended the old box office arithmetic right upon its release. According to our on-ground tracking and early trade figures, the tsunami the film has brought to the ticket windows has astonished the film industry.
Crossed 66 Crores on Day One, 95 Crores Globally
Based on early trends from trade analysts and theater owners, 'Drishyam 3' registered a net collection of over 66 crores on its opening day at the domestic box office. Meanwhile, globally, the film grossed 95 crores on its very first day. This unprecedented performance, especially for a non-holiday window, clearly reflects Ajay Devgn's massive stardom and the immense fan following of this franchise.
Shattering Records of 'Pathaan', 'Animal', and 'Dhurandhar'
With this bumper opening, 'Drishyam 3' has broken records set by several blockbusters. Opening day figures of past box office powerhouses like 'Pathaan', 'Animal', and the recently discussed 'Dhurandhar' have been left behind. Critics believe this is the biggest and most historic start for a suspense genre film in India.
A Grand Entry into the 100-Crore Club in Just Two Days
The film's momentum accelerated further over the weekend. Saturday's box office trends indicate that 'Drishyam 3' stormed past the 100-crore mark in just two days. Long queues outside both single screens and multiplexes prove that Vijay Salgaonkar's story still holds a massive grip on audiences.
