Major Railway Boost for Festival Travelers
As the festive season approaches, securing a confirmed train ticket becomes a major challenge for millions of passengers across India. To ease this annual rush during Diwali and Chhath, Indian Railways has announced the operation of a daily festival special train between Gorakhpur and Pune. This new service aims to accommodate the massive influx of travelers heading home to celebrate with their families.
The introduction of this train comes as a major relief for people who often struggle with long waiting lists or are forced to rely on expensive alternative transport options. Railway authorities have carefully planned the schedule to ensure smooth connectivity between northern and western regions of the country.
Complete Schedule and Operational Dates
According to the official railway notification, train numbers 01415 and 01416 (Hadapsar-Gorakhpur-Hadapsar Festival Special) will operate for a total of 32 trips. The daily service is scheduled to run continuously from October 16 to November 17, covering the peak festive travel window effectively.
Starting its journey from Hadapsar near Pune in the morning, the train will traverse multiple states before reaching Gorakhpur on the third day. The return service will depart from Gorakhpur in the evening, ensuring convenient travel timings for passengers heading towards Maharashtra.
Route, Stoppages, and Coach Composition
The long-distance special train will halt at several key railway junctions along its route, including Daund Cord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda, Mankapur, and Basti.
To cater to different segments of passengers, the train will feature 18 modern coaches, consisting of 6 sleeper class coaches, 6 general unreserved coaches, 4 AC three-tier coaches, and 2 SLR coaches, ensuring a comfortable journey for everyone.
