Brutal Murder Shocks Indian Community in UAE
In a horrifying incident that has sent shockwaves across communities in India and the UAE, an Indian expatriate was found murdered in Sharjah under gruesome circumstances. The victim, identified as Alvin Prakash Kundar hailing from Karnataka, had his body cut into nine pieces and packed into bags. The gruesome discovery has left investigative agencies and the victim's family grappling for answers, especially as key family members remain untraceable.
Alvin Prakash Kundar was originally from Kundapur in the Udupi district of Karnataka. He had been living and working in Sharjah for nearly 14 years, employed at the Sharjah Airport. He lived there with his wife, Tina Kundar, who worked as a school teacher, and their teenage son who studies in the tenth grade. According to his family, Prakash had visited his hometown in India in December of the previous year before returning to his workplace in the UAE.
How the Mystery Unfolded Through Family's Concern
The horrifying truth came to light only after the victim's family grew suspicious of his sudden silence. According to his brother, Anil Prashanth Kundar, he tried to reach out to Prakash around July 20. While phone calls went unanswered, a text message was received claiming that Prakash was fine. However, the family found this suspicious since Prakash traditionally communicated via voice messages rather than typed texts.
When subsequent attempts to contact him failed completely over the following week, a worried Anil contacted one of Prakash's former classmates residing in Sharjah to check on him. Upon visiting the company-provided flat, the watchman and initially even the company's HR department claimed that Prakash had traveled back to India. However, knowing this was false, the family pushed further, leading to a passport check which confirmed that Prakash was still very much within Sharjah, prompting a formal missing person report.
Dismembered Body Found and Ongoing Investigation
During the ensuing search operations by local authorities, a body was discovered inside an abandoned car parked along the route leading to Oman. According to the victim's brother, the body had been mutilated into nine distinct pieces and packed into bags. Subsequent identification procedures confirmed that the remains belonged to Alvin Prakash Kundar.
Adding to the mystery of the crime is the disappearance of Prakash's wife and minor son. Ever since the murder came to light, both have remained untraceable. While unverified reports suggest they might have traveled back to India, their exact whereabouts and potential involvement, if any, in the conspiracy remain under thorough investigation by Sharjah authorities.
