Indian Railways Boosts Connectivity With New Trains and Stoppages
The Indian Railways continues to upgrade its network and services to accommodate the massive daily influx of commuters. Recognizing the long-standing demands of passengers for better connectivity and additional halts, the Railway Board has officially approved three new train services and new stoppages for nine existing trains across multiple states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.
These strategic additions are designed to streamline travel, reduce transit hassles, and offer more flexible options for common passengers, traders, and daily commuters. While the approvals have been granted, the exact operational dates and detailed schedules will be announced soon through official notifications by the respective railway zones.
New Night Train Between Kanpur and Delhi-NCR
For commuters in Uttar Pradesh, the introduction of a new daily overnight train connecting Kanpur Central and Anand विहार (Anand Vihar) Terminal is a major relief. Train numbers 14153 and 14154 will bridge the gap between Kanpur and the national capital region, providing a comfortable overnight travel alternative.
Departing from Kanpur at night, the train will reach its destination by early morning, making it highly convenient for office-goers and business travelers. En route, the train will halt at eight major stations, including Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, and Ghaziabad, significantly improving connectivity for intermediate towns.
Enhanced Services in Maharashtra and Gujarat
Passengers in western and central India also have plenty to cheer about. The Pune-Beed Express (11433/11434) in Maharashtra has been upgraded to a daily service, ensuring regular and reliable transit between the two cities. Similarly, the Pratapnagar-Tanda Road MEMU service in Gujarat has received official clearance to operate daily, connecting remote areas and fostering smoother interstate movement up to Madhya Pradesh.
Furthermore, nine popular trains have been granted new stoppages at various stations, eliminating the need for passengers to travel long distances to catch major express trains. Travelers are advised to check official railway notifications and schedule updates before booking their tickets.
