Major Breakthrough in Jamui Viral Video Case
In a highly sensitive and deplorable incident reported from Bihar's Jamui district, local police have achieved a major breakthrough by arresting the prime accused responsible for circulating an objectionable video of a minor student on social media platforms. Utilizing technical evidence, cyber surveillance, and digital footprints, the law enforcement agencies successfully tracked down the individual who initially uploaded the footage.
The arrested accused has been identified as Ramashish Chaudhary, a resident of Marwa village. The incident had sparked widespread outrage and caught the immediate attention of senior administrative officials, prompting the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to track down everyone involved in recording, uploading, and sharing the objectionable material.
Technical Surveillance and Digital Footprints Lead to Arrest
During the investigation, the technical cell of the police analyzed the digital footprints and IP trail of the viral video. Cyber experts traced the digital path through which the video was disseminated across various online platforms. Following a thorough perimeter search and intelligence gathering, the police apprehended Ramashish Chaudhary from Marwa.
Interrogation is currently underway to determine whether Chaudhary filmed the video himself or obtained it from another source before making it public. Investigators are also scanning various WhatsApp groups and social media handles where the video was forwarded. With this arrest, the total number of individuals apprehended in connection with the case has reached four.

Police administration emphasized that circulating objectionable videos related to crimes or sensitive incidents is a direct assault on the privacy, dignity, and honor of victims. Under the law, such actions constitute severe and non-bailable offenses. The CID has also taken over the broader aspects of the investigation, with special teams visiting the crime scene and directing local authorities to ensure stringent legal steps against all perpetrators.
