With the Employees Selection Board and the Public Service Commission managing packed annual examination schedules, securing timely dates for departmental recruitments had become increasingly difficult. The new policy addresses this practical hurdle by allowing departments to utilize alternative routes based on their immediate operational requirements.
By shifting some of the load away from centralized boards, departments can now tailor their recruitment timelines more efficiently, ensuring that workforce shortages are addressed promptly and effectively.
Major Departments Move Swiftly to Fill Vacancies
The impact of this policy shift is already visible across prominent departments. The health department has been granted special leeway to conduct direct recruitment for specialist medical officers at the departmental level through streamlined interview mechanisms.
Similarly, the energy department is preparing to conduct examinations at the departmental level to fill around 6,000 positions, while urban development bodies are engaging specialized central agencies to expedite engineering recruitments. These proactive measures underscore the state's firm commitment to transparent, time-bound, and efficient governance.
