Rajasthan Sanitation Worker Recruitment Deadline Extended
In a major relief for job seekers across the state, the Local Self Government Department of Rajasthan has officially extended the application deadline for the massive sanitation worker recruitment drive. This extensive recruitment campaign aims to fill a total of 24,752 vacancies across various urban local bodies in the state. Previously, the deadline to apply online was set for September 28. No Educational Qualifications Required: Eligibility Criteria
One of the most unique features of this recruitment drive is that there are no mandatory formal educational qualifications required. Even uneducated or illiterate individuals can apply and participate in the selection process. However, applicants must fulfill other primary criteria, including being a permanent resident of Rajasthan and possessing at least one year of hands-on experience in sanitation work within an urban local body.
The age criteria require applicants to be between 21 and 40 years old, calculated as of January 1, 2027. Relaxations in the upper age limit will be applicable to reserved category candidates in accordance with government norms. Applicants are allowed to apply for only one urban local body of their choice.

Selection via Lottery System Without Exams or Interviews
Significantly, candidates will not be subjected to any written examinations or interview rounds. The final selection will be carried out purely through a transparent software-generated lottery system managed by the Department of Information Technology and Communication. Candidates with prior verified sanitation work experience will receive priority during the lottery draw.
