The Unmatched Humility of a Cricket Legend on Stage
Considered one of the greatest icons in cricketing history, Sachin Tendulkar once again proved that his down-to-earth personality extends far beyond the boundaries of the cricket field. During a high-profile book launch event in Mumbai, a heartwarming incident captured the attention of everyone present and quickly won over millions of internet users. The grand gathering witnessed the convergence of several notable figures from literature, cinema, and sports.
As veteran lyricist and poet Gulzar was delivering his address on stage, he paused as he felt the need for water. Without any hesitation or concern for protocol, Sachin Tendulkar—seated nearby—promptly stood up, picked up a glass of water, and walked straight over to Gulzar to hand it to him. This gesture left the audience amazed at how effortlessly a global superstar was attending to the minor needs of a senior artist.
The moment Sachin handed the glass of water to Gulzar became an instant highlight of the evening. Footage shows Sachin politely offering the water and whispering a gentle remark, prompting a touched Gulzar to hold Sachin's hand affectionately. This brief, tender moment was captured on camera and has since spread rapidly across various social media platforms.
