Political activity and security arrangements in the national capital have intensified on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Meanwhile, a video shared by PTI News on the social media platform X has become a major talking point. In this video, Delhi AAP chief Saurabh Bharadwaj is seen claiming that he reached Jantar Mantar without any car, scooter, or vehicle amidst security restrictions and closed metro stations.

In the video, Saurabh Bharadwaj can be heard stating that he was able to reach Jantar Mantar from his home without any transport. According to him, nearby metro stations are closed, but commuters can get off at the stations that remain operational. This statement comes at a time when the police administration has made strict security arrangements in view of various protests and events across the city.

Initial background checks and internet reports indicate that amidst tight security around Jantar Mantar on Gandhi Jayanti, the movement of political leaders is being strictly monitored. According to reports, RJD MP Manoj Jha was also detained at Jantar Mantar, where he reacted from inside a police van saying that it is Gandhi Jayanti today and such actions are shameful.

Following the emergence of this video, sharp reactions have poured in from users and the general public on social media. While some are linking it to administrative restrictions and measures to curb protests, political analysts view it as another instance of opposition leaders finding ways to register their presence. Nevertheless, the video has added fuel to the political heat in the national capital.
