Amid political activities and security restrictions in the national capital, a new video has become the center of discussion on social media. Released by news agency PTI, the video features Delhi AAP chief Saurabh Bharadwaj assessing the situation at Jantar Mantar. In the video, he can be heard explaining how he managed to reach Jantar Mantar without a car, scooter, or any other vehicle, opting to walk or use operational metro stations as nearby stations remained closed.
This development comes at a time when strict vigilance is being maintained by the administration regarding political protests across various parts of the city. Concurrently, reports emerged of RJD MP Manoj Jha being detained by the police during a protest at Jantar Mantar. Speaking from inside a police van, MP Manoj Jha remarked, 'Today is Gandhi Jayanti, you should be ashamed.' This intersection of political movement and strict policing has once again heated up the political atmosphere in the capital.
Following the circulation of this video on X (formerly Twitter), mixed reactions have poured in from social media users. While supporters of various political parties are labeling these restrictions as an attack on freedom of expression, administrative defenders argue that such measures are necessary to maintain law and order. The events unfolding at Jantar Mantar on Gandhi Jayanti continue to dominate political discussions with leaders from various factions trading statements.
