Renowned Bollywood actress Sneha Ullal has captured public attention with her traditional makeover during her ongoing film shoot in Bihar. Best known for her debut alongside superstar Salman Khan, the actress is currently busy filming for her upcoming project titled 'Ardhanaayak' in the rural heartlands of Gaya district.
The film's production set has become a major center of attraction for locals, drawing crowds every day. Set in the backdrop of 1950s rural India, the movie aims to highlight traditional folk arts, water scarcity, and the socio-cultural fabric of that era. To stay true to her character named Lalmuniya, Sneha has completely transformed her appearance, donning a simple cotton saree and wearing a bindi on her forehead.
Bonding with Village Women and Animals
Off the camera, the actress has been spending quality time with the women of a local Mahadalit Tola near the shooting location. Eschewing any celebrity airs, she sits down directly on the ground with the villagers, engaging in heartfelt conversations about their daily lives, traditions, and struggles.
During one such interaction, she shared a lighthearted moment by suggesting that the villagers should give proper names to their baby goats, leaving everyone in splits. Known for her love for animals, Sneha is also frequently seen playing with calves and goat kids during her breaks on the set.
A Star-Studded Cast and Meaningful Plot
Directed by Anjani Kumar and produced by D. Alia, 'Ardhanaayak' features a talented ensemble cast including Pushyamitra, Anup Kumar Singh of 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain' fame, and veteran actor Rajesh Kumar. Renowned writer Shaival, returning to active writing at the age of 80, is associated with the project, aiming to take Bihar's rich cultural narrative to a global audience.
