Indian Railways Prioritizes Safety and Infrastructure
The Indian Railways has announced significant traffic and power blocks across various divisions to ensure safer operations and strengthen the existing rail infrastructure. Due to ongoing development and maintenance work, train services on several routes will experience disruptions. Passengers planning rail journeys in the coming days are advised to stay updated with the latest schedule changes.
Subway construction projects in northern regions and third-line laying work on central routes are currently underway. These essential engineering works require temporary route diversions and rescheduling of numerous mail and express trains to guarantee long-term safety and efficiency.
Subway Construction in Haryana Impacts Train Operations
In the Delhi railway division, construction of a low-height subway between Bhainsi Khurd and Tarawadi stations is progressing rapidly. To safely push RCC boxes and manage protective safety plates, extensive traffic blocks have been implemented, affecting normal train movements on October 14.
As a result, several trains passing through this section will be diverted through alternative corridors. Railway authorities have assured that the engineering tasks will be completed within the stipulated timeframe to restore normalcy as quickly as possible.
Diverted Trains and Cancelled Halts
The Agra Cantt-Hoshiarpur Express (11905) will bypass its usual route via New Delhi-Panipat-Ambala Cantt-Chandigarh-Ludhiana on October 14, instead running via New Delhi-Jakhal-Dhuri-Ludhiana. Consequently, scheduled stops at Panipat Junction, Karnal, Ambala Cantt, and Chandigarh will remain cancelled for this service.
Similarly, the Jammu Tawi-Ajmer Galta Dham Puja Express (12414) will be diverted via Kurukshetra-Narwana-Shakurbasti-Old Delhi instead of its regular path, skipping its scheduled stop at Karnal railway station.
Central Railway Works on Kasara Third Line
On the Central Railway network, third-rail line construction is underway at Kasara station within the Kalyan-Igatpuri section. This major infrastructure project requires scheduled power blocks, impacting operations on key routes connecting Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai.
Travelers commuting between Lucknow, Gorakhpur, and Mumbai will experience modified routes and adjusted timings for a smoother and safer transit experience in the future.
Diversion of Pushpak Express and Other Services
According to Central Railway, the Gomati Nagar to Mumbai CSMT Pushpak Express (12533) will run via an alternate route on October 16, passing through Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Vasai Road, and Thane. Likewise, Gorakhpur to LTT Express trains (15018 and 22537) will also follow this diverted pathway.
