Supreme Court Intervention Brings Hope in UP Teacher Recruitment
The long-standing legal battle surrounding the 29334 mathematics and science teacher recruitment in the upper primary schools of Uttar Pradesh has witnessed a major breakthrough. The Supreme Court of India has issued a significant directive, reviving hopes for hundreds of candidates who have been fighting for their rightful appointments for years. This judicial intervention is being widely appreciated by aspirants seeking transparency and swift execution in government recruitment drives.
Bench Directs Review of 355 Left-Out Candidates
A bench comprising Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra heard multiple applications filed by candidates seeking impleadment in the contempt proceedings related to the recruitment drive. A total of 355 candidates had approached the apex court alleging non-compliance with earlier judicial directives. The bench took serious note of the matter and instructed the concerned authorities to review the candidature of these 355 individuals within a strict timeline of 12 weeks.
Instant Appointments for Qualified Aspirants
The court explicitly stated that if additional candidates are found to be eligible and qualified as per the established norms of the recruitment policy, they must be offered appointment letters without any further delay. Furthermore, the bench mandated that if any candidate's claim is rejected, a reasoned and speaking order must be passed detailing the rationale behind the decision. The matter has been scheduled for further listing after six weeks to monitor compliance.
