After resigning from her civil services career, former IAS officer Divya Mittal has officially announced her entry into politics. She made it clear that instead of joining any existing political outfit, she is launching her own party called 'Jan Niti Bharat', which will contest upcoming elections.
Coming live on social media, the 2013-batch former bureaucrat outlined her vision for a system where citizens are directly involved in the decision-making process, aiming to transform governance.
Focus on Citizen-Centric Governance
Mittal stated that the core of the nation's policies will be ordinary citizens, and developmental decisions will be based on actual local needs rather than arbitrary metrics. She emphasized transparency, ensuring that government budgets and project updates reach citizens directly for community evaluation.
From Corporate and Civil Services to Politics
An alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Bangalore, Divya Mittal previously worked in London before clearing the UPSC examination and serving as an IAS officer for roughly 13 years across various key administrative positions in Uttar Pradesh. She now steps into the political arena with the tagline 'Politics is not just rule, it is public policy.'
