Reporting live from the ground, weather in Haryana has taken a sharp turn with a yellow alert issued for nine districts due to an active western disturbance. Hailstorms were reported in Panchkula, while paddy crops in Yamunanagar mandis got soaked, raising serious concerns among local farmers during the peak harvesting season.
Agricultural experts note that intermittent rains are likely to continue until October 12, bringing an early onset of mild winter across the state while threatening un-procured crops in open mandis. Meanwhile, on the economic front, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's recent visit to Singapore has secured investment proposals worth Rs 5,500 crore to boost urban development and manufacturing from Gurugram to Panipat.
