Chandigarh/Ground Bureau — The weather in Haryana has taken a sudden turn with a yellow alert issued for rain in 9 districts. Hailstorms were reported in Panchkula, while harvested paddy crops got wet in Yamunanagar grain markets due to an active western disturbance.
Agricultural experts note that the unseasonal rain and drop in temperature have increased worries for farmers during the peak harvesting season. Meanwhile, the state is also seeing major industrial developments with recent investment proposals worth Rs 5,500 crore from Singapore.
