Weather in Chandigarh and several districts of Punjab has taken a sharp turn, bringing much-needed relief from heat and humidity. According to the latest Met department report, around 13 districts are likely to witness thunderstorms and rain, with cooling winds already sweeping across the tricity area.
While Panchkula and Yamunanagar recently experienced light rain and hailstorms affecting open crop yards, the weather is expected to turn dry soon. However, meteorological experts confirm that night temperatures will start dropping significantly from October 12, marking the onset of early winter chill in the region.
