According to reports, the incident occurred when the passenger, identified as Rahul, a resident of Mahal Manjhariya, Adarsh Nagar Pindi in the Lar police station area, was heading to Delhi for work. As the train arrived at the platform, a rush among passengers to secure a seat led to chaotic scenes. Ignoring all safety protocols, the youth attempted to board the Licchavi Express while it was already gathering speed.
How the Accident Unfolded
Eyewitnesses stated that as the train started moving, Rahul tried to climb aboard. In the process, his foot slipped from the footboard, and he lost his balance, falling directly into the narrow gap between the platform and the train. Fortunately, he did not slip under the wheels, but the impact caused severe head injuries. Panic ensued on the platform as fellow passengers witnessed the horrifying fall.
Quick-thinking bystanders immediately rushed to his aid, shouting for others to help and attempting to alert railway authorities. Realizing the gravity of the situation, they lifted the injured youth and arranged for immediate transport to the Lar Community Health Centre (CHC) without waiting for an ambulance, ensuring he received prompt medical attention during the crucial golden hour.

Doctors reported that while he sustained serious head trauma, his vital signs are stable, and he is currently under close observation.
