Honda Elevate Facelift Set to Revamp Compact SUV Segment in India
The competition in the Indian compact SUV segment is heating up as Japanese automaker Honda prepares to introduce the facelifted version of its popular SUV, the Honda Elevate. With official pre-bookings now underway, automotive enthusiasts and potential buyers are eagerly awaiting its market debut. The current midsize SUV segment is heavily dominated by established players like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, making this new launch a crucial step for Honda to solidify its position.
Auto industry experts note that India will serve as the primary global market for the debut of this refreshed model. Customers looking to secure their vehicle ahead of the official launch date can now visit any authorized Honda dealership across the country and pre-book the SUV with a token amount of Rs 21,000. This strategic move aims to capture the festive season demand and attract buyers looking for fresh design elements and modern tech.
Fresh Exterior Styling and Bold Design Enhancements
The upcoming Honda Elevate facelift brings noticeable cosmetic updates, particularly to the front fascia. Teasers and official previews reveal a redesigned honeycomb-pattern grille finished in aggressive gloss-black, flanked by sleek LED DRLs connected by an illuminated light bar. Honda has also repositioned its brand logo slightly higher up, aligning with its updated design language seen in recent global models.
At the rear, the SUV gets a refreshed look with a striking red illuminated LED strip connecting the taillights, lending it a bolder road presence. While the overall silhouette remains identical to its predecessor, minor tweaks to the bumpers and alloy wheel designs ensure a more contemporary and youthful appeal.
Upgraded Interior Comfort and Advanced Technology
Step inside the cabin, and you will notice a significant upgrade in terms of luxury and everyday usability. The passenger-side dashboard now features lighter color tones instead of the previous faux-wood finish, creating a more airy and spacious cabin ambiance. Premium additions include factory-fitted ambient lighting and elegant white leatherette upholstery extending gracefully to the door panels.
Tech enthusiasts will appreciate the inclusion of an updated 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless smartphone integration. Convenience features such as ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable driver seat, wireless charging, and a single-pane sunroof will continue to enhance the ownership experience, ensuring passengers travel in absolute comfort.
Safety Features and Proven Engine Performance
Safety remains a top priority for Honda, and the facelifted Elevate is expected to pack comprehensive protection. Along with existing standard features like six airbags, hill-hold assist, and a 360-degree camera, the vehicle is likely to introduce front parking sensors and an enhanced Level-2 ADAS suite featuring advanced driver assistance technologies.
Under the hood, the SUV retains its tried-and-tested 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, pushing out 121 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. Transmission choices will continue to include a responsive 6-speed manual gearbox and a smooth 7-step CVT automatic, delivering a balanced mix of thrilling performance and commendable fuel efficiency.
