Indian Railways Announces Khajuraho-Rundhi Festival Special Train
With the festive season just around the corner, Indian Railways has stepped up preparations to handle the massive surge of passengers. To combat heavy waiting lists and overcrowded regular trains, the railway administration has announced the operation of a special train between Khajuraho and Rundhi. This train will serve as a great relief for travelers looking forward to visiting their families during Diwali and other upcoming festivals.
According to the official announcement by North Central Railway, train numbers 01829 and 01830 will run as Khajuraho-Rundhi-Khajuraho Festival Special. This proactive measure aims to ensure smooth, safe, and comfortable transit for passengers during peak travel periods.
Schedule and Timings of the Special Train
The operational schedule has been carefully crafted to maximize convenience. Train No. 01829 will run from Khajuraho to Rundhi from October 15 to November 17, operating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Conversely, Train No. 01830 will depart from Rundhi to Khajuraho from October 16 to November 18, running every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Departing from Khajuraho at 5:00 PM, the train will reach Agra Cantt at 2:25 AM and arrive at Rundhi at 6:00 AM the next morning. On the return journey, it leaves Rundhi at 6:45 PM, reaches Agra Cantt at 8:35 PM, and arrives back in Khajuraho at 6:05 AM.
Coach Composition and Amenities
To accommodate the heavy passenger rush, the special train comprises a total of 18 coaches. This includes 12 general coaches for unreserved travelers, 5 sleeper coaches for budget-conscious long-distance passengers, and 1 AC three-tier coach for comfort seekers.
