The Indian electric vehicle market is witnessing a massive surge in demand as manufacturers roll out technologically advanced SUVs. JSW MG Motor India recently introduced the Hector Tomahawk EV to domestic buyers, and it has already started creating ripples in the market. Delivering 50 units in Surat in a single day marks one of the biggest initial delivery milestones for the brand.
The SUV is equipped with a large 69.2 kWh battery pack paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, generating 150 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed driving range of 517 kilometers on a single charge and supports 90 kW DC fast charging. Available in both 5-seater and 7-seater layouts, the cabin features a Desert Squadron theme with ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Priced attractively starting at Rs 13.99 lakh under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, the vehicle appeals strongly to modern buyers. Safety features include 6 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 ADAS capabilities.
