Car buyers in India will soon face a slight increase in vehicle acquisition costs as Skoda Auto India has officially announced a revision in the prices of its entire model lineup. The new pricing structure is set to come into effect starting October 1. The brand has announced that vehicle prices will increase by a maximum of 1.2 percent, with a strict cap of 20,000 rupees regardless of the model or variant chosen by the buyer.
Popular models in the company's Indian stable—including the newly introduced compact SUV Skoda Kylaq, the mid-size sedan Skoda Slavia, and the versatile SUV Skoda Kushaq—will see proportional adjustments. Since the price hike is capped at 20,000 rupees even for premium offerings like the Skoda Kodiaq, the overall financial impact on buyers is expected to remain relatively moderate.
