Destiny can change at the most unexpected moments, as proven once again by a group of hardworking Indian expatriates in the UAE. In the latest Abu Dhabi Big Ticket draw, several Indians, including a long-serving truck driver from Punjab, won life-changing cash prizes.
18 Years of Hard Work Pays Off
According to reports, 53-year-old Kulwant Singh, who has been living and working as a truck driver in Dubai for the past 18 years, teamed up with five friends to buy tickets regularly over the last two years. Their perseverance finally paid off when they won 500,000 dirhams (approximately Rs 1.3 crore) in the latest series.
Kulwant mentioned that he first came to know about Big Ticket through online videos years ago. Upon winning, he expressed immense joy and stated that he plans to use his share of the winnings to secure a better future for his family.
Multiple Indian Expats Win Big
The draw also brought luck to other Indians, including a young engineer from Kerala who used his son's birthdate to pick a winning combination, securing 100,000 dirhams. Several other expatriates from Oman and various parts of India also bagged substantial consolation prizes, making it a memorable day for the diaspora.
