NSE IPO Closes with Moderate Response

The much-awaited initial public offering (IPO) of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) closed on its final day with a total subscription of 1.75 times. The mega issue, valued at ₹22,569 crore, received bids for 12,89,85,128 shares against the total offered 8,86,42,911 shares.

Non-institutional investors (NIIs) led the demand with a subscription of 2.89 times, followed by qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) at 2.29 times. Retail investors subscribed to 95 percent of their allotted quota.

Grey Market Trends and Valuation

Market data indicates a cooling trend in the grey market premium (GMP), pointing towards a modest listing gain of around 3 percent. With an upper price band of ₹1,785, the estimated listing price stands near ₹1,844. Analysts remind investors that GMP is unofficial and not a guarantee of actual listing performance.

The issue is entirely an offer-for-sale (OFS), meaning the exchange will not receive any primary proceeds from the public offering. All proceeds will go to the selling shareholders.
