According to latest international reports, US President Donald Trump's initiative to broker an 'energy ceasefire' between Russia and Ukraine has completely collapsed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an interview with the Financial Times, made it clear that Ukraine will resume attacks on Russian oil refineries and energy infrastructure.
This diplomatic setback comes as a major blow to Washington's efforts to stabilize global oil markets and contain the ongoing conflict. Experts believe that targeting Russian oil facilities remains a key strategic lever for Ukraine to pressure Moscow, despite strong opposition from Western allies seeking immediate de-escalation.
