In a major crackdown against trans-border drug trafficking networks, law enforcement agencies have successfully busted a smuggling module, arresting two key operatives including a woman. A massive haul of 7.823 kilograms of heroin along with packets bearing Pakistani markings has been recovered from their possession.
Two-Phase Operation Leads to Major Seizure
The operation was executed under ongoing special anti-drug campaigns. According to senior police officials, the breakthrough came through a meticulous two-phase operation. Initially, one of the suspects was apprehended with an initial cache of narcotics. Subsequent interrogation and forensic analysis of digital devices provided crucial leads to another hideout.
Acting on these specific intelligence inputs, a raid was conducted at a rented accommodation where the female accomplice was captured. Additional quantities of heroin were recovered from the location, pushing the total seizure to over 7.8 kilograms.
Financial Trails and Digital Evidence Under Scrutiny
Preliminary investigations strongly indicate cross-border linkages, as evidenced by the specialized markings on the recovered drug packages. Authorities are currently examining digital evidence, video clips, and financial transactions to map out the entire operational network and identify other potential conspirators.
A formal case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, and further interrogation is underway to dismantle the backend and frontend connections of this interstate and international syndicate.
