Danapur Agnipath Rally Preparations Complete: Thousands of Aspirants to Participate
The Indian Army is all set to conduct the much-awaited Agnipath recruitment rally for the 2026-27 session at the KLP Maidan in Chandmari, Danapur. The recruitment drive will officially kick off on September 22 and will continue through October 7, covering various technical, general duty, and supportive categories for candidates across Bihar and Jharkhand.
Addressing a press conference regarding the second phase of the rally, RO (HQ) Danapur Recruiting Director Colonel Bindu Agnihotri detailed the extensive preparations made in coordination with the local civil administration. She expressed gratitude to Patna District Magistrate Kundan Kumar, SSP Kartikeya K. Sharma, and SDM Danapur Virupaksh Vikram Singh for their steadfast administrative support.
Detailed Schedule for Various Categories
According to the official schedule, the first leg from September 22 to 25 will witness shortlisted male candidates for Agniveer General Duty (GD) from districts including Patna, Buxar, Bhojpur, Siwan, Saran, Gopalganj, and Vaishali. Following this, from September 26 to 29, technical and office assistant/storekeeper technical categories will be processed for the same districts.
On September 30, a special recruitment rally will be held for 8th and 10th-grade pass male candidates. Furthermore, from October 1 to 4, around 3,500 shortlisted candidates for the Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical (SKT) category from both Bihar and Jharkhand will undergo physical and medical tests.
Inclusion of Women Military Police and Special Arrangements
Concluding the rally, the recruitment for Agniveer General Duty (Women Military Police - AVWMP) is scheduled for October 6 and 7. Approximately 253 shortlisted female candidates from Bihar and Jharkhand are expected to participate in this highly anticipated segment.
To tackle potential weather disruptions like rain, running tests will be conducted on designated paved roads, and candidates have been advised to wear appropriate running shoes. Additionally, the district administration has roped in local 'Jivika Didis' to set up food stalls at the venue, ensuring hygienic and affordable meals for all attendees.
