Major accident on Mumbai Coastal Road as luxury car plunges
A horrific accident involving a luxury BMW car in Mumbai has once again highlighted the dangers of overspeeding on metropolitan roads. The vehicle, travelling from Marine Drive towards Haji Ali, plunged from an elevated section of the newly built Coastal Road. Tardeo Police Station Senior Police Inspector Meena Jagtap confirmed the tragic details, stating that four individuals were inside the car at the time of the mishap. Tragically, three occupants succumbed to their injuries at the scene or shortly after, while the fourth person sustained critical injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Police have notified the families of the deceased as investigations continue into the exact sequence of events leading up to the vehicle losing control. Forensic experts are examining the physical evidence at the crash site to understand the dynamics of the fall.
