Major Relief for BPL and Pink Ration Card Holders in Fatehabad
In a significant move for the welfare of common citizens and economically weaker sections, the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department in Fatehabad district has announced a new distribution plan. Under this initiative, all holders of pink (Antyodaya) and BPL (Below Poverty Line) ration cards will be provided with two months' worth of ration all at once. This step is aimed at ensuring that needy families do not face any hassle in securing their monthly food grains and can plan their household budgets smoothly.
Often, cardholders face difficulties such as long queues at ration depots, server downtime, or other technical glitches, forcing them to make multiple trips. This new policy will not only save valuable time for the common people but also eliminate uncertainty regarding food grain availability. The district administration has issued strict guidelines to make the entire distribution process transparent and accessible.
Ensuring Transparency and Strict Action Against Irregularities
To prevent any kind of black marketing or mismanagement in the Public Distribution System (PDS), the department has warned all depot holders to complete the distribution within the stipulated time frame. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against anyone found violating norms or harassing cardholders. Biometric verification through e-POS machines remains mandatory to ensure absolute transparency.
