Nowadays, many criminals try to influence youth by sharing their videos and photos on social media platforms. Addressing this issue during the meeting, the IG stated in clear terms that the glorification of criminals in any form will not be tolerated. Immediate legal action will be taken against those indulging in such activities to prevent the spread of wrongful messages in society.
Police officials have also been instructed to monitor accounts supporting gangsters or promoting their activities with the help of the cyber cell. This step by the police is considered crucial in keeping youth away from the swamp of crime.
Directions for Speedy Disposal of Pending Cases and Increased Patrolling
The crime review meeting also evaluated the progress reports of cases registered over the past few months. The IG instructed officials to expedite matters in cases where accused individuals remain at large. Additionally, strict action was ordered in crimes against women and children to ensure timely justice for victims.
Police patrolling has been ordered to be increased in main markets, squares, and suspicious areas so that common citizens feel safe. Night blockades and vehicle checks have been emphasized to intercept criminal activities beforehand.
