The re-examination for the Rajasthan Police Sub-Inspector (SI) and Platoon Commander Recruitment 2021 was conducted successfully on Sunday under stringent security arrangements across various districts in the state. Officials stated that foolproof security measures were put in place to ensure absolute fairness and transparency, erasing the bitter memories of the previous paper leak scandal that had plagued the original recruitment process.
A total of 2,18,114 candidates had registered for this crucial re-exam, which was held across 666 designated test centers. To curb any malpractice, impersonation, or cheating, the administration mandated multi-layer security protocols, including biometric verification and facial recognition checks for every candidate before entering the premises.
The original examination, held back in 2021, had received nearly 8 lakh applications with over 3.8 lakh candidates appearing. However, major irregularities and paper leaks surfaced soon after, prompting the state government to scrap the entire recruitment process. The Special Operations Group (SOG) took over the investigation and has so far arrested around 149 individuals linked to the scam.
With the re-exam now concluded, thousands of aspiring candidates who faced years of legal delays and uncertainty are hopeful for a fair and timely evaluation process that will finally bring closure to one of Rajasthan's most infamous recruitment controversies.
