In a densely populated and bustling area of the city, an unfortunate electrocution accident near a prominent Ganpati pandal claimed the lives of two individuals, including an eight-year-old child, while leaving four others critically injured. Late Night Tragic Incident Outside the Pandal
The incident took place late at night when thousands of devotees were thronging the streets to catch a glimpse of Lord Ganesha. According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the mishap occurred around 2:00 AM near a major community pandal. Due to heavy footfall, temporary structures, and electrical wiring running close to damp surfaces, current suddenly leaked into the surrounding area. Five children and teenagers standing near a shop were instantly trapped in the live electric current before anyone could realize what was happening.
Panic and chaos ensued immediately as onlookers rushed to pull the victims away from the live wires. The victims were quickly transported to the Masina Hospital in Byculla. Unfortunately, the medical staff declared an eight-year-old girl, identified as Ragini Yadav, dead upon arrival.
