Following the massive success of the film 'Saiyyara', actress Aneet Padda has seen a tremendous surge in her popularity. The film turned her into an overnight star, yet she prefers to stay away from the media spotlight as much as possible. Now, in a recent interview, she has made a major statement regarding the food arrangements on film sets.
Why Aneet Padda Avoids Set Food
When asked during an interview about the best and worst parts of being on a film set, Aneet candidly shared her experiences. While she has no issues staying on sets, she drew a hard line when it comes to the food provided by production houses. She stated clearly, "I no longer eat the food provided on the sets. I always order my food from outside."
Recalling her earlier experiences, she added, "Before working on 'Saiyyara', whenever I ate the food on set, it used to be extremely poor in quality. Excessive soda was added to the food, which made it completely unpalatable and unhealthy."
Past Controversies Regarding Food on Film Sets
Aneet's revelations highlight a recurring issue within the entertainment industry. The quality and hygiene of food on film sets have been questioned by numerous artists in the past. Previously, during a high-profile shooting schedule in Leh, around 120 crew members fell victim to severe food poisoning after consuming meals provided on set, leading to widespread vomiting and diarrhea.
Veteran actor Govind Namdev has also openly expressed his displeasure over the disparity in food arrangements on sets, pointing out how major stars receive luxury treatment while supporting actors and technicians are often neglected. Similarly, veteran actress Archana Puran Singh once shared her experience regarding a prominent production house where the quantity of food given to crew members was shockingly meager.
