Some movies touch the soul and hearts of people. 'Hanumanansh' is undoubtedly one of them. Dedicated to the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, the film's simplicity and devotion have won over audiences, setting the box office on fire.
The Project Was Almost Shelved
However, about eight months before its release, filmmaker Vishal Chaturvedi was ready to scrap the project as team members kept walking out, believing it was impossible to make the film on the given budget. The biggest blow came when the lead actor fell seriously ill just a day before shooting, vomiting over 40 times, and eventually quitting due to fears regarding his health condition.
The Director Refused to Give Up
The journey began when Vishal started writing a book on Neem Karoli Baba and later decided to turn it into a film. Sharing the vision with his old friend Namrata Singh and Ragini, they decided to take a 43-day Hanuman Chalisa vow to anchor their faith.
Team Members Leaving One by One
At the very last moment, the primary financer backed out, slashing the budget to just 60%. Soon after, the executive producer and the costume designer also resigned, calling the task impossible. Yet, through divine intervention, every replacement turned out to be a devotee of Baba, helping the team complete the film against all odds.
