Speaking to the media, Dr. Shekhar Salgaonkar stated that by the time Nana Patekar was brought to the hospital, he had already passed away. He was officially declared dead around 5:30 AM. The medical team made extensive efforts to revive him, administering cardiac massage for 45 minutes to an hour, but to no avail.
According to the doctor, his family was not at home at the time; only friends and a caretaker were present. Around 2:30 AM, Nana Patekar had messaged a friend stating that he was not feeling well and experienced uneasiness. Due to the late hour, the friend did not see the message immediately. Later, when the friend called and reached his home around 4:00 AM, Nana was sweating profusely and his condition was deteriorating rapidly.
Critical Condition Before Reaching Hospital
The hospital's emergency team arrived at his residence to find him completely non-reactive. They immediately initiated cardiac resuscitation and rushed him to Manipal Hospital between 4:20 AM and 4:30 AM. Despite the doctors' best efforts, he was brought in deceased.
