The film industry suffered a massive loss with the sudden demise of veteran actor Nana Patekar at the age of 75 following a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa. Known for his powerful performances and authoritative voice, his passing has left the entire nation and his fans in deep shock. Following the tragic news, actress Tanushree Dutta, who previously leveled serious allegations against him, shared her reaction.
Tanushree Dutta's Reaction
Reacting to the news via her Instagram story, Tanushree stated that she learned about the event while preparing for her work commitments. She mentioned that she had a major event lined up and was focusing on her professional schedule, while also extending her sympathies to the bereaved family and noting that she would address the matter in detail later.
Past Controversies and #MeToo Allegations
While Nana Patekar led a relatively simple life, his career also saw significant controversies. In 2018, during the height of the #MeToo movement in India, Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior on the sets of the film 'Horn 'Ok' Pleassss' in 2008.
Nana Patekar had consistently denied all allegations, calling them false and baseless. Police investigations noted a lack of sufficient evidence, and legal proceedings followed over the years. Nevertheless, with the legendary actor's passing, Bollywood mourns the loss of a towering cinematic figure.
