Former Team India head coach Ravi Shastri is known for his candid remarks and entertaining storytelling. During a recent episode of a popular comedy show featuring Sunil Gavaskar alongside him, Shastri shared a fascinating anecdote about Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's dating days, bringing back nostalgia for cricket fans.
When Anushka's Presence Turned Virat Into a 'Warrior'
While discussing the presence of partners during tours, Shastri argued that players should be allowed to have their partners with them for mental support. He then cited the example of Virat Kohli, recalling a match where Anushka Sharma was present in the stands.
According to Shastri, Virat stepped onto the field like a 'warrior' and smashed a brilliant 160 runs. Upon reaching his century, Virat kissed his bat and gave a flying kiss gesture towards Anushka. Shastri's hilarious imitation of the moment left everyone on the set in splits.
A Perfect Blend of Comedy and Cricket
The episode also featured hilarious comedy acts, with Krushna Abhishek dressed as Donald Trump and Sunil Grover appearing in a Kapil Dev-inspired avatar. Shastri also added witty remarks on the modern era of IPL, making the upcoming episode a complete entertainer for fans.
