New Delhi/Mumbai: According to 'The FreeLance' ground investigation, veteran actor Anupam Kher has strongly reacted to the nationwide protests led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Amid aggressive demonstrations from Jantar Mantar in Delhi to August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai over alleged voter list manipulation, Kher issued a video message stating that while peaceful protest is a democratic right, using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and misbehaving with female police personnel is completely unacceptable.
Boundaries of Protest and Democratic Decorum
- No Room for Abuse: Kher emphasized that dissent has a place, but resorting to foul language and undermining the dignity of the Prime Minister's office crosses the line.
- Outrage Over Police Misbehavior: He expressed strong objection to the provocative behavior and mistreatment of security personnel during the rallies.
- Demand for Legal Proof: Challenging the claims of vote theft, he stated that those making allegations against the election process must present concrete, legal evidence.
Recalling his struggling days and his grandfather's teaching that 'a soaked person is not afraid of rain', Kher dismissed online trolling and asserted that he will not hide his views to please anyone, standing firmly by his decade-long support for the Prime Minister's leadership.
