With the rise of the 'work from anywhere' culture, many professionals are planning to move away from metropolitan cities to work amidst the serene mountains. Recently, digital creator couple Anjali and Naman shared a complete financial breakdown of their month-long workation and travel experience in Ladakh.
According to the couple, they spent a total of Rs 96,600, which included accommodation, food, scooter rentals, and sightseeing. Their journey involved traveling around various parts of Ladakh, driving from Manali to Leh, and finally returning to Delhi via a flight.
Accommodation Costs Broke Their Initial Budget
Before heading to Ladakh, the couple expected to find a room for a month for around Rs 15,000, with a maximum projected budget of Rs 20,000. However, reality struck hard upon arrival. Anjali and Naman revealed that they had to shell out Rs 30,000 just for a decent place to stay, with room rent averaging about Rs 1,000 per night, consuming a major chunk of their monthly funds right away.
Food, Transport, and Sightseeing Expenses
Breaking down their expenses further, the couple spent around Rs 9,000 on food. To commute locally, they rented a scooter for Rs 2,100, though they occasionally used their host's scooter for free, saving some extra cash. Daily snacking and groceries cost roughly Rs 2,500, while eating out added another Rs 5,000 to their tab. Sightseeing across different regions added roughly Rs 30,000 to the total tally, bringing the final 30-day expenditure to Rs 96,600.
