Babulal Marandi Addresses Press Conference in Giridih
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi, launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. During a press conference in Giridih, Marandi stated that Rahul Gandhi has been continuously making statements that damage India's reputation both domestically and internationally. He alleged that ever since the opposition alliance was voted out of power at the center, their primary agenda has been to raise unnecessary doubts about India's fair and constitutional institutions.
Several prominent BJP leaders, including Giridih Mahanagar President Ranjeet Rai, state executive committee member Chunnu Kant, Naveen Sinha, and Sikandar Hembram, were present during the briefing. Marandi asserted that opposition leaders lack any constructive agenda for public welfare and therefore rely entirely on misleading rhetoric to divert public attention. He emphasized that such politics will not weaken Indian democracy, as citizens are well aware of the reality.
Clarification on the Election Commission
Addressing the controversies surrounding the Election Commission and the Chief Election Commissioner, Marandi made it clear that questioning independent constitutional bodies is deeply unfortunate. He pointed out that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and other election commissioners have already clarified their stance. All crucial decisions by the panel are made unanimously, making the political uproar entirely unjustified.
He challenged the opposition leaders to present concrete and verifiable evidence if they have any genuine grievances regarding the electoral process. Making unverified statements merely for media attention reflects political bankruptcy, Marandi added.
Broader Political Repercussions
Marandi concluded by stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's strong leadership has elevated India's global standing, a reality that the opposition struggles to accept. He urged the Congress party to introspect regarding Rahul Gandhi's leadership path before the entire alliance faces complete electoral rejection.
