Political Tensions Rise in Bihar
Political debates in Bihar have intensified over crucial issues including floods, law and order, women's safety, employment, and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). During a press conference in Bhagalpur, former Bihar minister Suresh Paswan launched a severe attack on the state administration, terming the government insensitive and inefficient.
Paswan questioned the government's handling of multiple crises and claimed that the administration has failed to deliver on public expectations. His remarks have once again triggered a war of words between the ruling alliance and the opposition parties in the state.
Questions Raised Over Government Stability
The former minister made a bold political claim regarding the stability of the ruling government. He stated that if a floor test were conducted today, the government would collapse by the very next day. While political analysts view this as a rhetorical claim, it highlights the aggressive stance taken by the opposition.
Paswan also criticized the governance structure, alleging that despite a 'triple-engine' government at the municipal, state, and central levels, common citizens continue to suffer for basic necessities during natural calamities.
Severe Crisis of Floods and Drought
Highlighting the dual natural disaster in Bihar, Paswan pointed out that while North Bihar is battling severe floods, South Bihar and the Magdh region are facing drought-like conditions due to deficient rainfall. He accused the government of failing to provide timely relief, food, and medical supplies to affected families.

Addressing the state's law and order situation, the opposition leaders questioned the government over recent crimes against women and children in various districts. They asserted that safety should be the prime responsibility of any administration.
Furthermore, commenting on the Uniform Civil Code, Paswan challenged the government by stating that implementing UCC in Bihar's culturally diverse society would immediately destabilize the political regime, accusing authorities of using such topics to divert attention from real economic issues like unemployment.
